MacroDroid uses GPS 24/7 without GPS related macros

Have you tried the following

Disable all macros (probably easiest to disable all the categories)...what is the MD location access? Still nearly all the time?

If not, enable I category at a time until the MD location access returns to nearly all the time. Note that category and continue until all categories have been tried.

Then disable all the macros in the noted category and enable 1 macro at a time until the MD location access returns to nearly all the time.

When I clear recent apps green dot disappear, after 1 minute macrodroid autostart and position accessing endlessly (green dot always on) ... 1000044032.jpg1000044033.jpg1000044034.jpg

The green dot at the end of the status bar is camera in use, not location access.

I believe this is a standard Android feature in the later versions.

Not on my Samsung phone nor my previous Sony phone.

The green dot at the end of the status bar shows camera access.

I never see the green dot when I am not using the camera.

Location is enabled and MD set to access location all the time snd Ihave many geofence macros.

Your phone shows camera access. I can confirm HyperOS shows location access in green (because it shows everything in green).

Same issue here, I'm pretty sure it's a HyperOS bug though. MacroDroid shouldn't be accessing the location all the time (and it isn't). It has the permission to do so however.

My phone is a Xiaomi with Android 14 (hyperos), the green dot indicates the use of localization. In the app request list macrodroid continues to ask for location even if it is disabled (see images)...

The green dot on the status bar - is this another area that HyperOS deviates from stock Android?

On my Samsung (and Sony) MD accesses location all the time (as reported by the OS) when Geofence macros are enabled. However, I do not see excessive battery drain as a result.
