Forgotten permissions

Every 4 or 5 days I must change android (8.0) settings to allow the four accessibility permissions that MD demands again.
Is this normal? I hv no other apps with alzheimer...
thanks

Maybe it's unrelated, but yesterday I changed from EE to Vodafone (with the same phone, merely swapped the SIM card) and Macrodriod lost all its permissisons.

Oh no! Vodafone is more expensive and customer service is appalling. Also unless it installed new firmware, which it can or you've cleared data for MacroDroid then it should not have lost permissions

off-topic:

Ah, but I changed to Vodafone for a specific reason. I often 'work at home' from a boat in the remote fens of eastern England and I need to do video-conferencing. Vodafone has good signal there, but EE does not.

Actually @Jacob L Vodafone have some pretty cheap deals nowadays (Vodafone basic is good if you know where to find it). I have Vodafone myself but mainly because it is the only network that works reliably in my house (And I don't live in a remote/countryside area!)

@acrisio Revoking of the permissions is entirely an OS level thing as an application can by definition have no control over what permissions you grant/revoke at the OS level. All MacroDroid can do is prompt you to request that you grant them.

Checking dontkillmyapp.com is good advice as a starting point.

I'm with EE and get unlimited everything for £8.41/month. Then I use Airtime rewards to pay it off! 4Gee is fast here too. I'm glad you enjoy your current provider. Airtime works with lots of providers including Vodafone

You can however, grant some permissions with MacroDroid via ADB and the system setting action. Accessibility, DnD, notification access and assistant services can all be granted here without root.

Everything else needs root granted to MacroDroid before it can grant permissions for other apps

From dontkillmyapp.com/: settings > Battery > set your app to “Manage manually” and make sure everything is turned on.
I just set it and will report results in a week
Thanks a lot

Closing this thread with solution:
-yes Jacob was right (tks again), Android battery manager was killing the app or at least its permissions. Solution is to desingage automatic memory management as explained in the previous post.
