Background video recording

There are many reasons for wanting to do this, it is discreet which could come in handy as evidence collecting for acts such as theft, domestic violence or any other reason for discreet video recording. Some of these apps also allow you to optionally add location to the videos (you are explicitly asked for permission which you can deny).

MD = MacroDroid.

There are a few apps to do this, they are not in the plugin store because they are not fully compatible with this method however, the workaround is to launch either shortcut or the app itself. Choose an app and launch it from the launcher, set configure the app how you want it for example the video resolutions and whether sound is recorded or not and grant the permissions. MD compatibility differs per app so I will give examples here:

1) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arbelsolutions.BVRUltimate, Use the launch app action>Now you can choose The top option is to load the main interface or the middle option 'Record now' or use 'OneClick' (bottom option), which puts a persistent notification, with buttons for starting and stopping recording. These buttons can also be interacted with automatically by using MD's Notification Interaction action. Furthermore, this app has motion detection and other features so they may post notifications which could be triggers used in your macros.

2) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.i.video.recorder, Use launch application action and select the second option 'Recorder'.

3) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=studio.love.in.fall.backgroundvideorecorder, Use launch app action and you can take a photo or video depending which option you choose.

4) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kimcy929.secretvideorecorder, Use launch app action and you can take a photo or video depending which option you choose.

I hope this helps!
