Donations

Periodically, I like to give a donation.

Macrodroid is a smartphone game changer & I'm really impressed, and thankful, for its continued development.

To date, I've always donated via the Play store, but would prefer to provide a donation without Google benefitting, if possible.

If not, is the Play Store the only option?

Keep up the fantastic work, Jamie.

This is certainly possible, but I definitely cannot even hint as such stuff in the app.

Donations can be sent via paypal to: support@macrodroid.com and overall the fees are much lower.

I am most grateful for your continued support! I'm still very much dedicated to improving MacroDroid and have no plans to stop!

I've used PayPal, the send money to friends & family option, as this does not attract any fees!
Much better donating directly and avoids using the play Store!!

I've learned something there then. I hadn't realised we could PayPal directly.

As stated on the thread about getting MacroDroid pro free, there's apps that pay free PayPal money so we can do that!

I make donations through Paypal and it is more convenient, I can know exactly how much jamie will receive (because Paypal allows you to check how much money he will receive after taxes).

Does it allow for automatic donations? Say we want to donate £1 a month, can we set it or is there no option?

Jamie would need to set up a web page to set up Paypal buttons and accept recurring donations.

Unfortunately I don't think a non business Paypal user can setup recurring payments. See the attachment.

Also I believe PayPal charge fees on recurring payments.

Probably easier to setup a regular reminder in your calendar.

Sending money via PayPal is quick and easy and doesn't incur fees for money (source must be PayPal balance or bank transfer and not credit card) sent to friends & family. Don't use the pay for goods or service option as that method attracts fees, even if the source is PayPal balance or bank transfer.
