Hey Droiders.
Looking for some tips on how to change the home screen on either screen on a trigger of either folding or unfolding the galaxy Z 3 screen.

Any help would be appreciated.

Wanting to have Niagra Launcher on front screen and another launcher home screen on the full inside screen.

I have seen the Tasker solution however I would like to stick with one automation app ie Macrodroid

Hello

I recently bought a Z Fold 3.
Like you, I wished to change the home apps used on the sub and main screens.

I was able to achieve something close to my goal.
I use Nova Launcher on the main screen and スクエアホーム on the sub-screen.
In addition to Macrodroid, Bixby Routines and AutoTools are required. ( AutoTools (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joaomgcd.autotools))

  1. Set AutoTools as the default home app.
  2. In Bixby Routines, create open and close tasks and set custom notification message.
  3. In Macrodroid, change the home app that AutoTools launches when triggered by a notification message.

The picture above shows the code to be executed when closed. When opened, the home app to set is reversed.
(Sorry, I am new to macrodroid and don't know how to paste the script.)

The trigger for checking the notification should be a different string when it is opened and when it is closed.
In the If, run the home app for when closed only when the foreground app is the home app.
This is to allow the application to continue as it is when something other than the home application is running.

It is a bit slow to respond because it does not detect the Folding state, but rather the notification that is executed after the detection.
Still, it is possible to switch automatically.
