Help a newbie

I have been using android for around 10 years but I have never had reason to delve into its innards.
I have installed MD pro and began to investigate the way it works but my efforts are hampered because of my lack of android knowledge, Although I have programmed in a number of different languages the jargon I encounter when looking at android is foreign and confusing to me. Concepts like intents, abbreviations like OTP and so on are new and so leave me bewildered.
Of course I can Google each one as I encounter it but it isn't uncommon for the definition to include different new words and so I embark on a twisted journey and eventually forget why I came here and how it fits in.

What I am asking for is a list of useful resources (like a glossary for starters) and suggestinns on a more efficient way for me to proceed. Perhaps your replies may be incorporated into an item in the FAQ. I'm sure I can't be the only dunce.

Thanks in advance.

MacroDroid has a Wiki. It is in beta phase and is being added to continuously but it's a great starting point: https://macrodroidforum.com/mediawiki/index.php/MacroDroid_Wiki

When in MacroDroid, there's a button in each of the screens for triggers, actions and constrains for help, it is a white magnifying glass. You can also long click a trigger, action or constraint to see the help option.

I made a video tutorial to help get people started, also if you click my channel name, you get to see my subsequent MacroDroid videos which are specific to certain topics.

OTP stands for One Time Password, which is the name of the text that's received with a code when using 2Factor authentication. Intents are what is used to pass data between screens of apps or between different apps.
