It is not asking permission to send emails

Hello
I just installed macrodroid on my LG G6

When I try to add the Send email action I choose Gmail account.
The issue is that it is not asking permission, hence the emails are not sent.

On another phone I managed to do it, so I don't think I am doing anything wrong

What can I check in order to grant Macrodroid to ASK the permission to send emails by my default Gmail account?

Of course if I sent the manually from the Gmail app it works

Firstly, is the version of MacroDroid you have on the G6 a genuine version of the app from the Play Store?

If not then it will never work because it checks the signature of MacroDroid to verify that its a genuine version.

Yes, updated to the latest version

I managed to get it working by inserting directly the password (with the Gmail option, not the SMTP)
