Keep SmartThings running on Galaxy Note20

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G phone. I installed the Samsung app called SmartThings and I want it to run IN THE BACKGROUND at all times. I think I can use a MacroDroid macro make this happen. Does anyone know how?

To help with an answer... There is a an android feature called "Keep open". This feature will keep an app running in the background even if you "Close all" background processes. To use this feature, first open the app you want to "Keep open". Next, open the recently opened apps (to the left of the home button) and swipe left or right to select the app that you want to keep open. On the top of the selected app is an icon. Tap the icon then tap "Keep open" and a lock icon will appear in the lower right corner of the app. This would work but I don't know how to do this with Macrodroid. I should add that I do NOT want to use the "UI Interaction" since there is no way I can know which way to swipe (left or right), or how far, to select the app.
