Locked threads

We have started taking a few more measures against spam, such as:

• Locking some threads which spammers like to post on (a good example of this is WhatsApp).
• Making new threads on some forums such as News and Announcements go through approval before being visible to the public.

Generally spam is not a huge issue on this forum, but this just makes it easier for us to moderate.

Right now there are only a few locked threads, but the number is expected to go up as more spam comes.
If you would like to reply to a thread that has been locked, please contact a moderator for unlocking such as @Jacob L, @Josué García or me (don't ask the developer directly, he is already busy enough). Unless you are a spammer, in this case, please close this website and reconsider your life choices

As far as I remember, we (moderators) get a warning to ask whether we allow the post or not. So, if I'm right (I had the opportunity to allow that a few days ago), it's not necessary to send us a message

A new thread in News and Announcements goes into the approval queue, but locked threads cannot be replied to at all unless you are a moderator or above.
