From your side, solution is to use custom Private DNS or any other kind of blocker. I use NextDNS and ssl.google-analytics.com is the second most blocked domain from my phone.

Yes. However, it would be more appealing to just not use Google rubbish. It is also not appealing to Degooglers. R/degoogle

I am also fun of r/degoogle 😀

Currently MacroDroid uses:

1. Google CrashLytics
2. Google Firebase Analytics
3. AltBeacon (used for bluetooth beacon trigger... propably)
4. Google AdMob (non-pro users only)

MacroDroid is also dependant on Google Play Services

That's the reality.

Google analytics was propably easyest to implement. Hard to say. You would need respond from Jamie. I have no clue actually.

For more info take a look HERE (εxodus report)

I have been around for many years working on many different apps for lots of companies and tried all manner of analytics/bug tracking options. The reality is if you are using Android with Play services then you are already giving basic analytics and crash logs to Google because they get it through the Play Store. My analytics are pretty basic and won't give Google anything useful beyond what they already take. It also integrates with the data from the Play Store so it is by far the easiest and most integrated solution for a small developer that doesn't have time to give this much more than a token thought.
