Is there a way to record when a certain person is messaged on messenger?

I think MacroDroid is not able to know what you wrote to somebody, but it's able to know what somebody wrote to you via notifications. It's also able to automatically respond some text on certain messages with Notification Listener plugin.

Try notification received and the word 'you'. It may not work but is worth a shot. It should work on WhatsApp as well.
