Plugin/Plugin specific topic

hello, i am here with another feature request..

i often struggle to figure out exactly how to set things up for certain plugins, and i'm sure there are more people struggling with this.

i think it will be really helpfull, for me and for others, if there was a "Plugin/Plugin specific" topic on this forum (similar to the device specific topic) in which a seperate topic could be created for each plugin, containing some text and/or links to existing guides to explain how to use that specific plugin, and then people can also ask for help with a specific plugin in the corresponding topic.

i would prefer to see this on the forum, but this could also be added to the wiki (which has very limited info on plugins), i am not sure which would be better..

A subcategory for each plugin would be too big and a nightmare to maintain as new plugins arise, plugins discontinue and they change, keeping up would require too many resources. If you can tell us what you are having difficulty with then we can help. Also check out the plugin store tile, you can see compatible plugins there. In the play store, there is a 'Developer contact' tab which often has a website to visit specific to the plugin or app.

i'm not having any difficulties at the moment, but i just spend like a full day figuring out how to use KWGT with macrodroid, and i just thought it would be really helpfull for me and for others if there was more detailed information on how to use KWGT and other plugins with macrodroid.

i had already tried to use KWGT a couple months ago, but i couldn't figure out how to do it, so i just gave up and deleted it, i am sure other people are running into the same problem with this and/or other plugins, and also are just giving up because that's the easiest thing to do..

Ps: i know we can also just google "tasker (plugin-name)" and follow one of the tasker guides, which is what i've been doing, but i still think it would be nice to have some sort of guidance for using plugins (in macrodroid itself, even though it is often the same as in tasker) on this forum.

@Jacob L is right, it wouldn't be possible to maintain Wiki up-to-date with all the possible plugins: not all those of yesterday will be there tomorrow!

But, as you said, it could be interesting to have a specific topic gathering all users of any plugins. You could suggest it to @MacroDroidDev when he comes back from holidays.

According to KWGT, I use it too and don't have any problem with MD. I pass variables from MD to KWGT and it works fine. The only problem is that when using date-time triggers with the 'Use alarm' option ticked, for KWGT (and even the whole system) it's considered as a standard alarm. So, as I have a macro triggering every peak hour, KWGT shows that I have an alarm/appointment every hour! As a workaround I unticked every 'Use alarm' option but sometimes my macro(s) trigger a few minutes later (from 0 to 4 minutes). But, as I don't use these macros to send rockets on the Moon... I leave it this way.
It could be due to my device/brand/system.

I agree with 420.
Basically, most plugins are not optimized to MD, so have a little different usage/limitation than working with Tasker/Locale.
I'd like to exchange information snd share my knowledge in another forum section focusing on them.
