Share picture via text message

Hi, experts!

New user and noob here. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm looking to build an "I have arrived" macro that, when triggered, will:
1. Take a picture
2. Attach the "last picture taken" (and a comment) to a text message, and
3. Send this text message (containing the picture and comment) to a preselected number

Is this possible?

i'm not so sure if it can be done through sms, but you can send a picture by email for sure, using the 'share last photo" action.

I must be doing something very wrong because I can't get anything in my gmail account...

As above you cannot send pictures via MMS but the share last photo should allow you share via email. I'm not really sure what can't get anything in my gmail account means.

"Can't get anything" means just that. I work at night, and I was playing with MD for 9 hours, and despite trying to get the right combination of settings in my macro, I couldn't get anything sent to my gmail.

MMS free ?? amazing
and MMS is very low quality
obsolete tech (and it's usage since inception was practically nil)

but if it suits you ...

Gmail send from macrodroid works perfectly
you must be doing something wrong

For Gmail, open MacroDroid and head to its settings > email options> Gmail account and select yours. You may need to turn off two factor authentication/2FA and, if it still exists as an option, allow less secure apps (these are in your Google account). If this fails then try the SMTP option and find the server configuration settings.

Maybe post some log screenshots of the errors and some of your macro configurations.

I have 2FA enabled. It sounds as though that's it. I'll redo everything using the SMTP settings and see what happens. I'll keep all of you in the loop. Promise.

Anyhow, I'll work on it tonight. It's bedtime.

MMS is my phone's default format if/when the user sends a picture via text message. But... I'm not using SMS or MMS at all because it simply won't work.

I need to send a picture, and it needs to have location tags enabled, and I will probably succeed sending it through through email. Gmail in this case. But Gmail doesn't require the MMS format in its email messages.

If memory serves me, the picture format will remain unchanged. I'll post with the actual format used.

MMS image format? Never heard of that. I thought nearly every phone takes photos as JPGs by default.
