Smart Plug switch with Macrodroid

Hi all!
I'm sorry but I don't speak English.
I don’t know if I wrote in the right place if you don’t put Admin in the right place.
My Hungarian forum partner shared a solution with me. To control the Smart Plug with a macrodroid.
You need the following.
1. The Smart application for your device. (I use the Tuya app)
2. SmartThings app (Samsung or SmartThings Account required. Samsung browser is recommended for login because it does not work with all of them.)
3. SharpTools Tasker Plugin & Widgets for SmartThings (Paid)

You need to create two commands in the Smart application for your device. (On and Off command)
After logging in to SmartThings, add the Device.
Select "Brand", find the application for your device, and then follow the instructions.
The commands now appear in SmartThings, but they may be inactive. (Everything was inactive for me, but they worked for someone else)
No problem, if inactive, it will work in SharpTools.
Open SharpTools and select "Things" from the menu.
After logging in, the commands can be selected.
If you no longer need SmartThings, you can delete it from your phone, SharpTools will still work.
You already know the rest. Macrodroid-> Locale / Tasker plugin-> SharpTools.
Enjoy!

I don't know why i did not see this thread sooner but If you only have tuya devices you could use sequematic.com to control your devices via macrodroid HTTP GET action (it also supports sonoff and philips hue), unlike sharptools it does not require a monthly subscription. ;) (it's completely free to use, you can donate if you want to)

Hi,
Thanks for your help, but this is too complicated.
In my solution, SmartThings is paid (you have to buy it once), but it can be used as a Locale/Tasker Plugin and is very user-friendly.

You do not need a monthly subscription to use sharptools with macrodroid? just the one time payment? i thought a subscription was neccecary and that is what made me search for an alternative in the first place.. i thought it was way overpriced! (almost as much as IFTTT while they work with way more brands)

I bought it once and have been using it ever since. I wouldn't recommend it if it wasn't worth it.

Hi,
Thanks for sharing this opportunity.
Unfortunately, it is complicated for the common people.
I hope there will be a simpler solution.
I can still use SharpTools, but you have to turn on the display for it to work (unlock is not necessary)
Thank you for posting the shaptools method.

I struggled with SharpTools and found it easier with the clear instructions in the linked post. It took me less than 5 minutes. Most people on this forum should manage, buf perhaps the average user might find SharpTools easier 🤷‍♂️.

Macrodroid is a very good application, but it has some features that require some serious background knowledge to use.
Sorry, I don't speak the language and I use a translator to communicate.

Hi,
Could you share with me a macro that includes SmartThings settings?
Thanks for your help!
