Specific calendar event not firing

I want to fire certain actions when a specific calendar event in one of my Google calendars triggers. However, this does not work. In order to troubleshoot, I made a simple macro to fire if the event "Test" is triggered in the calendar. I even added asterisks, but to no avail. I also checked that the event is in the correct calendar (as I'm using multiple calendars simultaneously). I'm facing this issue on both my OnePlus Nord and my Pixel 6. What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks for your reply. I have set the event at 2.00pm in the calendar. The action doesn't fire, neither at 1.59pm, nor at 2.00pm and irrespective of the use of asterisks.

I can't really read your screenshots, dutch maybe?
But try to set 'availability' to 'any' and both 'title' and 'detail' empty, check 'use alarm'
And maybe also 'calendar' to 'any'

I tested this and it works as long as the trigger is empty when it comes to the title and detail of the calendar entry. But it will then fire at any calendar entry. I want it only to fire when the title in the trigger matches the title in the calendar entry. And that's where the macro fails

So now you have to work with the title/detail in calendar/trigger these should match exactly to work

The problem is: they don't (on neither device). That's why I also started to work with asterisks, when I found out it didn't work. But that is not the solution to my problem.

Make sure you know what the calendar title and entry are, for example by displaying them like in the screenshot below (or saving into local variables which you can inspect subsequently):


That may help in correctly setting up the trigger criteria. For example, in your example you're looking for "Test" in both the calendar title and details, and it may only appear in one or the other...

Are you sure both the tile and description have Test in them. Maybe just try matching the title?

I got it working now, thanks. Not sure what did the trick. I removed the description and I ticked the RegEx box. Don't have a clue what the latter is, but it works now.
