I wanted to start my hotspot as soon as my car door opens so that my android auto car radio can find my hotspot as soon I start my car rather than waiting for the Bluetooth connect and starting hotspot. I planned to use a device like this that works with SmartThings and then use the SmartThings notification along with MacroDroid to toggle the hotspot on and off. Is that a good idea or is there an easier way to do this? I guess a NFC tag would be best but it has to be within a 4 inch radius for the phone to detect the tag and that won't always be reliable.
