Tts voice

I just switch from a note 4 to a note 9, macdroid doesn't seem to use the voice that the phone is set to use, all other apps have no issues, it's an annoying voice, I read that others had same issues years ago but could not see fixed results. Any help would be appreciated

MacroDroid should certainly be using the voice that is set in your devices Text To Speech settings and in fact I don't know how it could be using anything other than what is selected there.

Is it a completely different voice, or is it possible the pitch/speed have been adjusted on the action that makes it sound funny?

When I go to tts settings from macrodroid, if takes me to the phones tts setting which sounds like a perfectly good female voice, but when macrodroid plays that voice within its app, it sounds more like a male mechanical voice, unless there is a setting in a macrodroid that bypasses system settings?

I'm very confused by this and in all honesty I haven't a clue how that is possible. MacroDroid simply uses the built in text to speech engine so it should be the same. If you click the "Text to speech engine" to use option, do you have multiple options to choose from or just one?

The current voice used by other apps is the voice set on the phone, the same setting is used by macro, however its not the voice spoken by macro, no matter what voice I select in the system, macro uses this one voice disregarding any setting.
I have two tts Installed, google and Samsung, i use google, but tried Samsung, it changed a little, but still not the voice spoken em by other apps.

I have another app I've used as long as macro called enhanced callee I'd ecid, instead of macro speaking, I send the text to notification where ecid will speak it correctly.

Can you share the macro in question to support@macrodroid.com

It probably won't be anything to do with the macro but I'd like to check just in case somehow some parameters in your macro are getting screwed up some how.

I wanted to email a video of the two voices from the same macro using two types of commands, but the file is 26mb.

More test done, using the text speak macro there is an option to go to tts system settings, as I have google and Samsung TTS installed, I tryed changing between both tts and the voice spoken in macro doesn't change, plays same annoying voice, but play the voice in another app, no issues, voice changes as I make changes, only macrodroid plays same unknown voice.

Even more test, the speak text Co fig has the option to change pitch and speed, I never played with that, but it's default to a level not with the system level changing the outcome of sound in macrodroid. If I play with pitch I can match system sound.
Can u have a setting that can change all macro pitch and speed tts in macrodroid so I don't have to change every macro.
Do u think this issue happened when the note 4 copied its setting to the note 9 which give different results at the same level settings?

I also want to note the time macro can't be adjusted so it plays at that weird sound, can u add pitch and speed to time macro?

I'm also facing the same problem, Very annoying. Instead of a very cute voice, it automatically turns into an old lady's tone.

Go to your TTS engine's settings via MacroDroid to see if there are any problems, and verify that the pitch value (in the MacroDroid action) is correct.
