V5.53 - Feedback

Are you seeing this on the new v5.53.6 release? I did make some changes to try and improve the situation but it's certainly not a simple problem to solve in all cases. It's also useful to specifiy if you are using full screen, dialog or overlay mode as the behaviour can be different in each case. (The overlay mode is hardest to fully solve).
Works we

This works well in 5.53.6 - Thanks!

I am using Dialog mode.

What about the missing ability to save the value of a slider to an array or dictionary? Is this considered as a bug or rather as a feature request? 🤔

In the Text Entry scenario, it's not possible to change the color of the hint text. It's hard to see the text on a light background. Could you allow changing its color? Thanks

Bug in custom scenes:
If a button was configured to modify a variable, this can't be resetted to not modifying a variable. The trashcan symbol doesn't work either.

I have the same issue in version 5.53.6. The trash bin icon works, but the changes don't take effect immediately. After clicking the icon need to save the scene and then re-enter the edit page for the changes to apply. By the way, I also encountered this issue (rarely) when editing the color of a Slider — the new color only changes after saving the scene.

I am seeing the same with the bin icon to clear a variable. I will try to fix this soon.

The triggers swipe screen top right diagonal and top right across stopped working for me after the 5.53.10 update.

I don't see any issues with this and have in no way touched this functionality for a long time, so I do not believe the new update could possibly cause this.

Not sure if this is an issue or a feature request. My macro frequently switches from one full screen scene to another. When scene 1 is open and I request scene 2 to open, it closes scene 1 (which is good) but then flashes my home screen before opening scene 2. I'd want it to behave more like screen changing within an application.

I'm not sure either and it's a valid point. This will probably have to wait until v5.54 but I shall try and make it work as you desire.

Actually scratch that last comment. I found one more issue where a scene in an action block would not launch when invoked from a button press in a scene that closes the scene. As part of fixing this I have found an easy way to solve the gap between scenese. So one more beta incoming very soon.

Much nicer! Thank you!

'Added ability to clear system log for an individual macro when viewing the System Log for that macro (via edit macro screen).'
I haven't noticed.

When I test the "Open MacroDroid Log: System Log" action, I can see "Clear log" menu item. But that clears entire system log, not just this macro.
And the "Show log" menu item, when tap, is missing this menu item.

On another matter, I wonder if "Show log" could be made into a submenu (like Local variable display), and its 2 submenus could be "System log" and "User log". And if tap "User log", it could allow user to select specific user log to view. This would be more convenient than having to create (or locate it within macro) an action, and then test it.
