Clearing notifications with a trigger

I didn't understand how does the "clear notifications using a trigger" action works. Could you explain it to me?

Hi,

I didn't mean the event "Notification Received/Deleted", I meant the action "Clear Notifications" with the "Use notification trigger" option.

As I thought, then I have to report a bug because today there was a notification that should have been cleared but it didn't, the description of the notification corresponded (partially) to that of the event. Maybe it's because in the macro I have a lot of events of notification received, I don't know, anyway thank you for the help.
