Macro to open an app in background mode

Hello everyone.

I need your help. I have an Android screen in my car with the "Agama Car Launcher" launcher and what I want is that when the screen turns on, the "FM Radio" application opens in the background.
That is, when you have loaded the Android screen, you will hear the FM radio but with the "Agama Car Launcher" launcher visible on the screen.

Note: "Agama Car Launcher" opens on the screen by default.

Can someone help me create this macro?

Many thanks for everything.

What about actions:
Launch FM Radio
Launch Home screen
Since you can't open app in background, you open it in standard way and go to home screen instantly after

Thanks Brush.

But, I do not understand your comment.

When I configure Launch Application "FM Radio" what launch option do I select:
  • Force new
  • Exclude from recent apps

How to launch "Home Screen"?

You help me?

Thank you

You don't need to select any of these option when creating action to launch radio. Just click ok/save after selecting the app
To open home screen you use different action called launch home screen

To test, I installed MacroDroid on my mobile phone, and I created the macro.

Launch "FM Radio"
Launch home screen

And when I try the actions, it goes to the home screen. The "FM Radio" does not start.

OK. Now yes, but what type of trigger should I use?

If I use "Device Boot", when the radio opens and closes, the "Agama Car Launcher", is still opening.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Maybe use device boot and try using wait until trigger action and there use trigger app launched agama car launcher?

Let's see, now I have this:

Trigger:
  • Device boot

Actions:
  • Launch FM Radio (without any options)
  • Wait 1 second
  • Launch Home Screen

Where should I put what you tell me?

Thank you

Trigger: Device boot
Actions: Wait until trigger (inside app launched 'agama car launcher')
Wait 500ms
Launch FM Radio
Wait 500ms
Launch home screen

If I understood well obviously

You need to test it and let us know.
Its much more difficult when we don't see the macro runing in person

I guess the problem comes from the fact that when launching Radio app, it probably plays on the phone if BT is not connected to the car.

As for launching car's Home screen, I'm afraid it won't be possible because MD doesn't run on the car device but on the phone. Unless I misunderstood...

Hello Dm114.

You have misunderstood. In the car I have an Android screen (China). On this screen I already have the MacroDroid app installed and also the FM Radio app, which already comes by default.

Regarding all the help that Brush has given me, I have to thank him, even though I haven't been able to take the test yet.

Hopefully this afternoon I'll try it and I'll let you know tomorrow.

Greetings.

Hello everyone,

Sorry for the delay, but I've been busy.

I tell you that I have already been able to solve it without using MacroDroid. With the different macros, it didn't work at all well. Sometimes "FM Radio" and then "Agama Car Launcher" started correctly.
On some occasions, I don't know why, the "FM Radio" did not open. Others, "FM Radio" always remained in the foreground.

Finally I eliminated the macro, and playing around in Android screen in my car, in factory settings + password 8888, there is a startup applications option, where you can choose a maximum of 5 applications to start when you turn on the Android screen.

Also in the settings of "Agama Car Launcher", there is an option where you can set "Agama Car Launcher" to open on top of other open applications (foreground).

Thank you very much to everyone for your help.

Greetings.
