Problem with the translation

Settings -> Set Language -> English (sysytem language: русский). Huawei Y3 II (LUA-U22), Android 5.1 + Genymotion, Android 7.0

Sorry, I misread your first post.

When you reboot, do you mean that the MD language is reset to System Language in the Settings?

If so, maybe it's the normal behavior after rebooting: the previously chosen language is no more selected.

Let me try it on my device.

You're right!

Same behavior to me when rebooting: the previously selected languge is still ticked in the Settings but the language used in the macros is the System one.

I guess @MacroDroidDev will have time to have a look on this minor problem...

There are certainly some difficulties in forcing a language over the standard phone language and this seems to be worse on older devices. Are you able to test this on any more modern OS version (e.g. use a newer OS version in Genymotion)?

Thanks for the explanation. Unfortunately I have no opportunity to test it on newer OS: I refuse to upgrade my v9 to v10 to prevent me from trouble many people experience grom v10 and above...

To me problems in translation are not a big deal.

Genymotion, Android 9.0. Translation doesn't work either.
Android 10.0 does not work in Genymotion.
