Does MacroDroid support adding custom app actions where you long press the icon? Right now if I long press the icon on the home screen I only have "All Macros" and "Add Macro". I'm trying to create a trigger on my Galaxy S23+ where holding the power button opens an onscreen menu, but the only...
Nevermind, I'm an idiot. The notification button I was using also used to be a Play/Pause button. I can't believe I forgot about that, the clear action works perfectly. SMH...
Apologies if this has been discussed before and my search just failed, but I am trying to create a macro that clears all notifications in the tray. It works great under most conditions, but if there is an application with media controls in the notification tray then the macro causes that...
Can you provide some info on your phone? Model, Android version, manufacturer skin version if applicable (i.e. OneUI for Samsung), launcher you're using, and anything else you can think might be applicable?
This doesn't seem to be affecting all users so I've been trying to figure out if...
I've had the same problem and have an idea to launch Google Maps, wait 5-10 seconds, then mark the location. I haven't had an opportunity to test it yet, but if Maps will launch and update while the phone is locked then I'd think it should work.
I just wanted to update this thread for anybody else having the same issue in the future. Using intents from Tasker to MacroDroid has worked perfectly! No misfires, and no failures to fire. It was also simple as can be to configure. Thanks for the suggestion, @Endercraft and @Dimlos
I just tried on A13 with the app and it worked fine. Blame Google.
Oh I know it's something Google did. But half of Android development is fixing what Google has broken, it seems. I'd just like to report it since it seems to work for some apps or some scenarios, though I can't figure out the...
I did not think about using intents. I'm gonna have to look at that because Notifications seem very inconsistent. The problem appears to be on the Tasker side because it doesn't consistently post a notification when a task runs. When it does, Macrodroid handles it perfectly.
Is there a way to pass a variable from Tasker to MacroDroid? Ive searched a bit but didn't come up with anything other than using a notification as a trigger.
Yes, that's the app. You can add macrodroid shortcuts to Panels? When I and OP try, there or anywhere else, the process ends with the dialog to add the shortcut to the home screen instead of wherever you're trying to add it
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy s23+, A14, December security...
Yeah, I'm on A14 with the December security patches from Samsung/Google and OneUI 6. I'm not sure when it stopped working, though. I noticed it after seeing this thread and my device had already updated.
I'm trying to use AutoWear events (commands in MD) as a trigger in MD but it doesn't seem that MD sees the events at all. Same with commands (states in MD). I could certainly be doing something wrong, but it seems straightforward. I just select the event, not doing anything with commands in...
Seems that something did change globally because I can no longer add MD shortcuts anywhere. It always makes me add them to the home screen. Is there an accepted way to submit this as a bug report to the dev? I'm also having issues with AutoWear events not triggering in MD but they do work in Tasker.
