auto allow file transfer via USB if no pin or password is set

If you have not set a password or pin, you always have to manually allow file transfer via USB again on newer Android versions. The setting for this in the developer settings is always reset when the device is plugged in via USB.

Has anyone already dealt with this?

Maybe the "system settings" action will be helpful for you. I used it to automatically enable developer options and USB debugging when connecting to WiFi, and it worked fine.
