check if day is a public holiday/bank holiday/statutory holiday

Is it possible to find out if the current day is a public holiday/bank holiday/statutory holiday?

Not directly in the app I'm afraid. You could possibly use the calendar trigger/constraint if you have a calendar that contains all the public holiday entries.

thanks, I can see the public holidays in my Google Calender but I don't know how the calendar trigger works? what must I set?

Let's take for example next monday, it's a bank holiday. On my calendar, it displays it as June Bank Holiday. Type that into the title option of the Calendar event trigger.
