Geofence/Location Problem

I have done everything I can think of to get geofences to work on my phone (T-Mobile REVVL V+ 5G) without success. I have checked the permissions for the MD app and the MD helper (1.7) app, too. I am abandoning my Home area geofence for the wifi trigger as a workaround, but I work at a place that will not allow me to connect to their wifi. I'm going to use the cell towers trigger there. But I still want to get geofences working, if possible. Is there anything else that I can do?

To add another wrinkle to this... The geofence trigger IS working - whenever and wherever. Is it time to abandon my quest?

Because the geofence trigger, while working, was not timely or reliable. The trigger would fire (IF it fired at all) anywhere from 0 to 45 minutes late, and its behavior was unpredictable.

No worries, location seems to be working properly.

The Geofence trigger relies on whatever Google Play services does under the hood. It works fine for most users in most cases but where it doesn't work it's hard to know why as it is very opaque.

The older location trigger is my own custom implementation and should hopefully work more predictably in cases where the geofence trigger is problematic.
