LDPlayer emulator

LDPlayer is an emulator that is like a virtual Android device, it installs on Windows and can be acquired here: https://www.ldplayer.net/. It is aimed at gaming but of course, can be used as a normal Android device emulator. My advice would b to use another launcher although that is personal preference.

LDPlayer is rooted and can also use ADB.
Root and ADB may be off by default so follow these steps:

Open LDPlayer and press the hamburger menu (☰), once the device has booted. Then select settings: 1613137835765.png
Now you see the popup, click 'Other settings' and tick enable next to root, and set ADB to 'Open connection':

That is root sorted. Now MacroDroid can also be made into a system app with: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.systemappmover.

Is LDPlayer good enough that you can actually edit macros on it? Is any emulator that good? I may post this as its own topic.

Quite a lot of macros I've made recently have been fixed up with LDPlayer.

What did you mean by new post. It is device specific so it is safe here, right?

Right. I meant before I ever saw these threads, I was going to write a post asking about emulators. If LD Player is the standard recommendation, I don't have to.

I've got it installed and running. Now I've just got to learn it.

Thank you for the clarification. I'm glad you've got that emulator working. I have used other emulators however, LDPlayer seemed best as it doesn't have as many ads or junk.
