Holy Shit! Perhaps this is the next big thing in MacroDroid? Hope so! Would make automated life (...on non rooted devices) so much easier

Note that it is open source so it'd be totally cool to see/copy how it does stuff into MacroDroid, however the GitHub page doesn't mention that unless you feel like building from source it's $2.99 from the Play store. The dev on xda does mention being totally cool with people buying it to do a few quick things and then getting a refund.

But yeah I imagine you must be able to do all kinds of stuff via adb you can't do otherwise, eg automatically give yourself permissions, even those which you can't even get via the GUI now such as access to the long volume button press API that Tasker recently added support for (but told people to use they'd have to issue a specific adb command).
