Make a Call action not working

Hi there,

I have a Macro where if I receive a key word by SMS or WhatsApp, then my phone should phone our apartment gate and then it should open for our guests.

The problem is that is doesn't make the phone call, in the log it shows that the action was trigger but nothing happened. If I test the action and the macro then it works. I even added the action to play a little sound and the sound plays which shows the trigger works fine and the actions are made but it doesn't make the phone call.

P. S. I had this macro on my previous phone and it worked perfectly. I now have a Samsung S21 FE

I sent a WhatsApp to myself and for some reason that didn't trigger the call, although it did trigger the sound action. When someone else sends a message then it works. Still just confused why it doesn't work when I send myself a message. I have two WhatsApp accounts on my phone, one personal and one business so I send WhatsApps back and forth between the two accounts.

The sound, yes but the call doesn't happen. Also, when other people message me, it doesn't work at all if my screen is locked.

Try a screen on action. You may even need to use UI interaction action to unlock the device

Please also ensure you have disabled battery optimization (you will see this listed in the troubleshooting section).
