Of course you can write whatever mathematical operation you want with parentheses even in combination with listed functions (while selecting the Expression option in Set variable action).

Of course you can but you'd better use parentheses in your 'ddd' expression to be sure calculations are made in the right order: here, implied parentheses are 'ddd=aaa+(bbb*ccc)'
