MD stops when I try to add "send SMS" to a particular macro

I wonder if anyone else has hit this problem:

I have a long macro that takes an incoming SMS, edits it, and then forwards it to my other phone.

Today I suddenly find that I cannot 'configure' the existing 'send SMS' action: MD just stops. I can't insert a new 'send SMS': the same thing happens.

I have reloaded MD from the play store - did not help.

I emailed the macro to another phone and I find that the problem moves with it. So it is something wrong in the macro itself.

Is there any way to parse or debug a macro without using MD to d it?

So any new send sms action you try to add to that macro fails to configure and MacroDroid stops working? If so you may want to send this macro to developer via troubleshooting option in hamburger menu with these information. It's possible that some update broke the action.

In fact it's the same problem if I try to insert a 'send email' action.

It applies to a new action (send SMS or send email) or if I attempt to edit an existing one.

Thanks for your suggestion. I will fiddle with it some more and then maybe send to to the developer when I have tried everything I can think of.
