Open file action

So I was trying to use this action to install an apk thru package installer but nothing happens, my guess is macrodroid needs to have that permission to install unknown apps

I am not sure, but I think
you need an app that opens (install) an apk file. You will need to grant permission to the app.

You can't open an apk file with MacroDroid, which means MacroDroid has nothing to do with the permission.
