I can confirm it works fine on my android 10 phone as well.Hey
Got a little problem
In a macro when it displays a popup or dialog it opens MD in front of the popup, so it's in the background
The problem is on my phone with Android 12, works ok on the other with Android 10
Just a simple macro, anyone with 12 who want to try ?

SameReally Strange
About 8 to 9 out of 10 mine opens MD
YesDoes MacroDroid have permission to display on top of other apps?
It could be drawer or another macro, but thats not the issue it does the same if I use a buttonmacro has empty trigger,
how do you run it ??
Do you have the same problem with other actions (eg Display Dialog)? Or only with Popup Message?... I've got the same problem with other macro's
Also dialogs I'm afraidDo you have the same problem with other actions (eg Display Dialog)? Or only with Popup Message?
Just curious, what brand/model are the phones?... The problem is on my phone with Android 12, works ok on the other with Android 10 ...
Is that a MacroDroid beta? It's never bad to be curios
It's Samsung Galaxy z Flip 3 with Android 12 and MD 5.22.2 pro
In theory you can clear macrodroid from the recent apps list with a swipe or gesture. I would launch macrodroid, then the recent apps Android shortcut (since MD is in the foreground it should be the most recent app on the list) the use a UI Interaction gesture to remove MD from recent apps. Since it is a service/persistent it should remain running.....I found out the problem only occurs when MD is running in background (in Recent)
I have found out a little workaround for this
When it's a notification I just added "Launch homescreen" after that, the notification stays on screen
I've got a macro that shows a texfile, here the same problem
With the issue about "Open file" I've added "Press Back Button" with "App foreground" Macrodroid as constraint
I've tryed to figure out if it's possible to close "Recent apps" but can't really find it (it would be smarter, I think)
That is true they are not. But it is the best option you have at the moment. In theory yes, but I'm not a great fan of UI actions, I don't think they are 100% reliable
