Power button toggle not working?

Hi there i have 2 Galaxy S20 (granted they're basically a copy of one another since one is just my old one which the modem of the phone just crashed one day so it wouldn't connect to cell network anymore but that's irrelevant here only thing that IS relevant about this is that i did a smart switch and set up the new phone basically identically to the old one...)

My issue is when i try to use the power button toggle it just plain does not even register that I'm pressing it, on either phone. I was wondering if someone smart might know why that is? :) lol thanks in advance for any help and have a wonderful day yall!!

When using the power button toggle trigger you need to press 3-5 times. You can see settings in trigger settings in settings.

Yes i know I've tried each option and none of them seem to realise that im pushing the button 3 , 4 , 5 times :/ that's why I'm here asking this

Try to exclude MacroDroid from all battery optimizations because Samsung is known for being the best at killing apps.

I'm fairly confident that's already the case and I've also never had any issues with any of the 152 other macros i have.. :/ lol I'm starting to worry you might have no idea what the problem is :/ lmao

I have a S23 and the power button toggle works.
I used the macro shown in the first screenshot, manually setting the lv false before toggling the power button.

The 2nd screenshot shows the side key settings, as I think this might be the issue.

Do you use Bixby?

Perhaps this is intercepting the power button presses, so MD doesn't see the presses and hence fails to respond.

I don't use Bixby as MD does so much more!

I have disabled Bixby services, so I am unable to check out the above.
