S22 Ultra Prox Sensor Does Not Trigger

Hey all,

I have a Samsung S22 Ultra and I can't seem to get macros or gestures that involve the prox sensor to work. This is the same in other apps. Is there a setting I am not aware of that is stopping apps from being able to read the sensor?

It might be that the Proxmity Sensor only works when a call is active:

I will try to set up a macro to test this. Thanks.

I have a Galaxy S23 and the attached macro works....but only with the screen on. When the screen is off, the macro is not triggered when I move the phone around, as I did with the screen on.

Interesting. For me it only seems to work when I'm on a call.

Tried it too with my galaxy s22 ultra and same it works only while in call. I have tried before apps that require proximity sensor and they never worked. I had no issues with my galaxy s20 ultra before.

When I tested the macro, the MD setting proximity sensor work with screen off was not set.

This was the reason why my macro only worked with the screen on.

Enabling the setting and the macro works with the screen on and off.

Enabling this setting will lead to higher battery consumption.

I don't use proximity sensor and have disabled the work with screen off setting.
