Screen dimming at lock screen?

Can anyone confirm that the screen dimming command does not work on the lock screen?

I tried dimming the lock screen. Screen brightness works but it doesn't go completely dark even at 0%. I would like to add dimming but it has no effect at the lock screen.

When I tried on the lock screen, I had the Bright idea to take my screen luminosity to 0%. I couldn't see anything except the pointer coordinates bar. I do not recommend trying this ! but, a reboot, and everything's okay.

Anyway, have you tried using 100% instead (because it's reverse) ? (Like I wrote above, I don't recommend turning luminosity to 0%.)

If it doesn't work for you, at least I can confirm that it does work on Redmi Note 4.

Yes I tried dimming at 100‰ on the lock screen but it didn't do anything. It works when I am not at the lock screen. So it could be phone dependant. Thanks for validating though.
