Set Variable with clipboard text no longer work

Today i noticed that my macro no longer work do to set variable with clipboard text not work anymore on android 10 with root.
It worked before the last feaw updates. How can i downgrade this app?
Which was the latest version before you try to fix the clipboard trigger?
Pleas fix that soon otherwise my main macro no longer work

Update your version of macrodroid and use the refresh clipboard action before setting the variable

And if what doesn't work is the trigger, remember to reconfigure the trigger and activate the checkbox use logcat detection (adb hack) you can see how to grant adb permissions here

I not try the trigger. I talk about the set variable action.
It worked on older versions but not on the current version. So i don't think its a problem on my phone

I will try it. But i not understand why i need to do this on the acctual version if it worked fine on older versions.

I have now tested it and it work with clipboard refresh action. But its very slow compared to the old sysrem. I need to get the clipboard content very fast multible times. So this is no solution for me. No way to get the old system back?

On the old versions the clipboard read worked when macrodroid is the active window. This also no longer work in the current version. Please add this again. Its much more faster to switch the window instead of the clipboard refresh action.

Unfortunately it's not a simple case of reverting functionality as Android continues to lock things down I have to come up with workarounds to keep things working and these may not be as good as the old way (but better than nothing).

Do you know which is the latest version that works with the old clipboard system? If I download it there, i also get the paid version?

I know the discussion and I know that the clipboard permission is a problem. But maybe it is possible to add the clipboard reading feature, when macrodroid is in the foreground to the new clipboard system without the need of clipboard refresh action?
As far as I know, it shouldn't be a problem for apps in foreground to read the clipboard, but the latest macrodroid version can't do that without the clipboard refresh action.

For rooted devices, there are magisk modules that should solve the clipboard permission problem. So with these modules it should be possible to read the clipboard like on older Android version, which would solve the problem at least for rooted devices

Or does anyone have an idea how to read the contents of the clipboard very quickly several times until a condition is met?

You won't lose the paid version. I will certainly consider the implications of reading the clipboard when MacroDroid is already in the foreground and if it's easy to add I will do so.
