Google Play is being it's usual painful self and deciding to reject my main app update because of some claimed UI guidelines breach in the Wear OS app. As a temporary measure I have pulled down the Wear OS app until the main release goes through and I will try and restore/fix it as soon as possible afterwards.
The main release is now completely decoupled from the Wear OS updates, yet somehow they decided to block my main releases (which have nothing to do with Wear OS in them) because of this issue (while still allowing the offending version of the Wear OS app to stay up on the Play Store). To put it simply the Play Store release/review process is fundamentally broken and an embarrassment at this stage.
