Wifi Connected to Network and Android 14

Running on a Pixel 7 Pro w/Android 14 February service update.

I have a large number of Macros that kick in when connected to specific SSIDs. I was able to create and edit these macros with Macrodroid and choose the SSIDs I want the macro to operate on but on older Android revisions. However, for several months now, when I try to edit/configure the "WiFi Connected to" to alter the SSIDs, the dialog only shows one option

"Any Network"

The OK is disabled until I select "Any Network" which obviously removes all previously selected SSIDs.

I can't pinpoint the exact time, but I suspect this problem started to occur after an Android 14 update.

Check and make sure location all the time permission is granted for MD and MD helper.

Also need Location On.

The need for all of the above is to do with Google, not MD.

Google decided Location must be On to be able to access the list of SSIDs, to improve security. LOL

I think it provides Google with more tracking data.

Hello,
I used Macrodroid and MD Helper on my Asus Zenfone 9. It worked fine with Android 13. Yesterday I got the upgrade to Android 14, an since then, it don`t work correct. In had to give some permissions to MD Helper. Now it seems to worked, but There comes a additional popup-window, that ask for permissions.

Ist there a way to skip this popup?

I've never seen an Asus device I'm afraid but this is definitely a vendor specific customization that they have added. On Xiaomi devices there is a way to turn it off, but on Huawei devices it's not possible.

I'd recommend you look at the app permissions page for MacroDroid (in your settings app) and see if there are any additional permissions that Asus have added that you can fiddle with.

How do I enable/disable wifi on Xiaomi HyperOS without the popup?

I have just got HyperOS and had a quick look. As far as I can see there are no options to enable this any more and the popup will always happen.

I'll do some more digging but in all honesty it doesn't look good!
