Floating text tweak

Hello, i noticed that the floating text cannot overlay on the notification zone.
I am wondering to myself if this is a drawing on screen limitation, or intentional from MacroDroidDev.
Either way it would be better if we could go a little higher so we could make some kind of custom notification or dynamic island system.
Thank you

It doesn't have the 'show on lock screen' which shows on a higher layer.

Hi there, it would really be great if floating text could also show on lockscreen. Icon support would also be an appreciated feature update.

It is no longer possible to overlay the status bar, if I allow the floating text to appear at the top the status bar icons appear above it. Futhermore when the text appears over the status bar it becomes impossible to drag around as the status bar interaction is given priority. I don't think there is any way around these issues but if anyone knows better let me know.

I'm pretty sure it's no longer possible to display overlays on the lock screen in the latest version of Android. Again if anyone know's better then please correct me.

Well the dialog box works fine on the Lockscreen for me, so i don't know if it could work with the overlays

I applaud the new addition of the floating text. I'm actually setting the font the same color as the background in attempts to use this new feature as a coordinate defined privacy overlay. I searched forum and templates but was unable to come up with a direct way to do partial overlays or blackouts so this comes very close to making something work. The final goal is to black out areas for a screenshot of a predetermined area on the screen. Kind of a hacked up way to attempt this, but ran into the other problem initially of being unable to find any plugin or reference to be able to take a partial screenshot 'boxed' area using predefined x,y coordinates. If I had that, I think I'd be in heaven

A dialog is just a standard Android activity with a transparent background, you can't click on any apps below it.

The floating text is an overlay created in a service. Like everything in Android over time it's got more and more restricted what you can do. In the past you could display on the lock screen but not any more.
