Looking for constraint help

Preface this by saying I’m very new to MD, I use a competing app that I’m way more familiar with that doesn’t have the same capabilities as MD so I’m still learning the ins and outs of MD, that being said, I have a macro that when chrome is launched, it “presses” the back button. I want to put a constraint in there that if a site from a specific site (or maybe even the entire domain) is active I want it to ignore the macro.

Is this possible?

I was thinking a variable might be needed but my programming skills left my brain 25 years ago when I quit college.

So can someone point me in the right direction…maybe even with a sample macro to get me going?

it TOTALLY does what I want - i just had to add in a few more seconds in the delay! THANK YOU!!!!!!

on an unrelated topic - how does one go about learning this kind of stuff on their own? like I mentioned previously, my programming skills are severly lacking due to the length of time it has been since college, and with my current job, I don't have much use for it, so I never pursued it!

If you haven't already, the Wiki is a good place to start

I started with no programming experience and no knowledge of what MD could do - I began by using the templates, experimenting with tweaking them and then eventually could construct my own. And when I'm stuck, there's always someone here to help. Now I think that if I didn't have MD I should lose the will to live ...

I agree that the templates are a good place to start learning and understanding the power of what can be achieved. Start off with simpler ones that look interesting and as you get more experience look through more complex ones.

thanks all, i have been experimenting - in fact, i created a geofence / or / notification macro with out any help prior to this question - but those seem to be relatively easy since there's no variables - but i'm gonna keep after it - since it looks to be quite feature rich, and what it doesn't have, the other one i use does, so between the two of them, i should be able to do just about anything!
