MacroDroid and UI interaction: Does it work?

I am having some major problems getting the MacroDroid (MD) to interact with the UI via the finger push (click).
I see the MD is capturing the control and a place of click, but when the action triggers, it just does not seem MD is making any automated clicks (pushes) at already captured coordinates. Anyone knows if MD is able to interact with the UI?

Also, some apps are immune to the MD's capturing mechanism. Anyone knows what is going on with this ?

are there any workarounds to get MD to interact with the UI (system and application)?

Some apps are immune probably because of this :

(it's not specific to games, it can also apply for other apps)
I would guess your accessibility services are disabling, so visit dontkillmyapp.com to prevent MacroDroid from being killed.
Also check for any errors in the system log.

Does it work? => yes
In all apps/system? => no
How to find out? => try, try and try

The best way to get this to work is reading the wiki, reading the explanation on every trigger/action, reading diff posts in here and as mentioned try
A little tip to UI interaction is to use some waits between some of the actions, these could be very important

Thanks for a pointer! Yes, it is not for games. I have this custom app that I would like to automate some features of....

Do you know if there are other automation apps that can interact with the UI straight out of the box? Does Tasker support ui interaction?

If you search something like Auto clicker on the play store you should be able to find one that can interact with almost anything,although they can't be automated. Except if you use MacroDroid to make them click !
