Problem with version 5.32.X

I discovered a problem that didn't happen until version 5.31.7. From 5.32 when I use any macro it has the option "Silent- Vibrate Off" , Macrodroid shows error message and process stops and restarts itself. My phone is Galaxy Note 4 N910C with Android 6.0.1
My solution was to go back to version 5.31.7 because the last update didn't solve the problem. But I need this to be fixed in the next updates, because I don't want to be stuck with an old version all the time.

Use should use Troubleshooting section in MD home menu to report this issue

O usuário deve usar a seção de solução de problemas no menu inicial do MD para relatar esse problema
But to do that, the MD requires that I first update to the latest version... but if I do that, I'll have the problem back. So that's why I created this topic.

Are you sure you must have MD latest version to report a bug in the Troubleshooting section? I don't think so.

@Dm114
Have you sent in a bug report recently?
You can find out by actually operating the system, but there is a confirmation that you are running the latest version.

Yes I send some reports from to time (even just before Jamie's holydays). As I'm generally up-to-date I don't care with this message but, as you show, it seems to be an advice not a requirement.

I guess that Cancel button allows to give up with reporting and Ok to continue anyway. It's the reason why I would suggest @HVC to click Ok and submit the issue unless I'm wrong but it's worth trying it.

OK redirects you to Play Store.

I used to get loads of bugs from old versions. It was a total waste of my time having to say please use the latest app version and report again if you still see the problem, so this solution was necessary to retain what little of my sanity is left :)

You'll always get people using older version as Android 5+ is required. ThThere is a whole community called r/androidafterlife which run older Android versions and custom ROMs. Automate is Android 4+

While there are those who wish to use older operating systems and versions for their own purposes, there are vulnerabilities in older operating systems that have not been fixed, and there are known bugs in older versions.

I think those risks should be borne by you and not imposed on the developer.

Everyone is welcome to use whatever old version they want, but I'm not going to offer support for any app version other than the latest because the issue may have already been fixed or the feature may not even exist anymore (for example).

Maybe you should add an warning in the troubleshooting section saying you only offer support to the very last MD version so... "Please be sure you are running the last MD version before submitting the bug."

This is already done. It takea you to the play store if you're using an older version.

My point was that you can't use a more recent version if you're on Android 4 as it's not supported

I didn't know that: I don't use Play store and I'm always up-to-date! 😉

For other requests from users, we all ("helpers") should try to be more watchful and demanding when answering about "bugs" to avoid Jamie to waste time on the forum...

It also could be usefull to display a warning when posting on Help and troubleshooting forum.

Android v4 is very old and I think that no many apps keep on running on such an "ancestor". 😀

With my voluntarily old v9, I'm sometimes afraid I won't be able to benefit some new MD features. It's my problem and I (and people like me) can't claim to benefit full modernity with old tools! 😉
