Could anyone who has smartwatch confirm is it possible to use actions like: voice input, http requests using smartwatch with macrodroid?

Screenshot/photo of available actions and triggers would be greatly appreciated!

i am using my smartwatch, but only for activity tracking. the other days its off until i start a new activity.

if your smartwatch can run macrodroid app, then you can do almost everything with macrodroid.

I think I already saw someone on youtube sending http requests from smartwatch I am interested in.
Although he was triggering macros by clicking icons in macrodroid app.
I was also wondering if there are some other, easier accessible triggers and that voice input action would be amazing.
Triggering macro, speaking to watch and watch sending http request to either my phone or pc to perform some actions there based on what I said
I heard about some other automation app for watches as well and it had some features macrodroid doesn't so that could help as well. I just wish I knew everything before I am about to buy this watch (I can obviously return it easily but I am lazy)

what brand are you looking for? to be honest am not happy with my garmin too, but compared to other competitors its still the best. i hope coros is trying to beat garmin, so they need to improve their watch.

I am guessing all of it is impossible on garmins, right?
Like they are probably the best for people that care about being active and getting health focused info but thats pretty much it, also they have amazing battery life.
I'd probably go for Samsung's Galaxy Watch 5 Pro or 6 classic (although I saw that 6's battery is terrible compared to 5 pro).

you can programm custom apps on garmin with their own programming language monkey-c.
i think you can legally hardcode the http protocol at the backend to control the smartphone actions via webhook. everytime you add a function you need to sideload your program manually over the pc and then the program works only when executed, so you need to go into your created application to execute it. eg. program a webhook on one button.

the battery life and the solar panel were my usp for the watch. coros is close to them.

its enough for me to charge a phone only once a day, charging a smartwatch too is overkill for my purposes and my comfort.

the newer samsung watches using the google watch os, you might have luck with webhooks, but i think you need to save the webhooks as shortcuts somewhere on your watch and paste them in the browser. i am wondering if you find a cool solution for this, i am looking forward. you can send sms from your watch that can be read on your smartphone macrodroid as notification.

some smarthomes using ios support for the apple watch, i guess this will work with some android watches aswell.

as i wrote earlier i am using my watch only for activities, often in remote areas.

On watch OS a MacroDroid companion app is available that lets you trigger macros in MacroDroid and do all sorts things.

I have a Pixel Watch and a Galaxy Watch4 Classic and what they can do is very limited.
I think AutoWear would expand what you can do, but I don't think it would work well without Tasker.
I'm charging my smartwatch now, so I'll give it a try when it becomes available.

I am no AutoWear expert, but I was able to send a TaskerCommand to Tasker by rotating the bezel of the Galaxy Watch4 Classic or touching the quad screen.
It is not something that can execute commands directly from the companion app, but can transmit commands to the smartphone by operating the smartwatch.

Thank you for your effort!
Although I am still not sure what to think about it.
Maybe I don't really need smartwatch and looking for an excuse to buy one :ROFLMAO:

I think I'm you from a parallel universe because I think the same things 😂

MacroDroid has a policy of not actively developing Wear OS features, so Tasker will be needed.
AutoWear has many features that I have not mastered.
TaskerCommand does not work well with MacroDroid.

What about some other less convinient way of communicating between AutoWear and our phone's macrodroid? Notifications, sms, emails?

It is probably impossible to trigger without using Tasker at all, but the action to be performed could be communicated to MacroDroid by an intent.
