SHOULD BE SIMPLE BUT NOT WORKING??!

i created a macro called "TEST WIDGET BUTTON (BLUE)

Triggers
Widget button (blue)

Actions
Send Email
to: myself@gmail.com

when i push blue widget the macro log shows:
Testing: Send Email TEST WIDGET BUTTON (BLUE)

but i never get an email? PLEASE HELP?

Creating multiple topics about the same thing won't make it any faster

yes i am using the gmail account option.
the gmail account which is correct
i tried both with and without use password authenication....

yes...have you succesffully used macrodroid to send an email using gmail?

You're not the only one to have these problems, some others like @JA-Translator I believe also had problems with this but the new version should have fixed that.

I have the latest version from store, not the beta version from forum and it works fine for me so I can't really tell anything more. Never experienced any problems

Weirdly enough I can't find the log of this issue but on v5.38.2+ it is working fine.

i just downloaded today but i only have v5.37.12 and when i check version history it says 5.37 is oct 2023

what version are you using? (from home screen click the 3 bars)

under email settings did you select gmail and just enter your email address and nothing else?
or did you use smtp
or did you use gmail and email authentication where you entered your password?
can you give me step-by-step please...i am frustrated after over an hour of trying different things

I don't have the phone that sends the email to my main phone on me right now cause I am working so I can't really tell with details but I think I used gmail and email authentication with password entered.
I didn't use smttp for sure. Also I am the type of person that could enter there wrong password believing its correct so maybe try to log in to the gmail with account details first to make sure they are correct

Also I believe there was some kind of pop up message when granting macrodroid permission to gmail account so maybe you didn't click something there. I'd try saving macros, uninstalling, clearing data and maybe installing again to grant the access. I use gmail account made for this purpose

i read you have to enable 2 factor authentication and bunches of other stuff on gmail website, so i am sticking with gmail option instead of smtp....
i tried both with and without password...still not working.

is everyone using a paid version...i notice when i click save configuration, it loaded up something called onlineactivation, and i thought it was just an ad for something and closed it....maybe i have to create that account on "onlineactivation" or is that spam?
do you have to pay for the app for it to work?

Looks like you posted the above 3 times..
There is no such thing as online activation where you need to create an account, you need to be logged in a Google account on your device.

I use pro version obviously. There is no app thats as worth it as macrodroid!
I don't know anything about onlineactivation but there was a window that asked for permission to send emails from selected google account.
