It doesn't work on my One Plus 9, but it does work on several other devices I tried.
I can't really say why it doesn't work other than the fact that this uses accessibility service features and some devices suck at fully supporting it.

The documentation is rather thin and there is no indication that a device might not support it.

Ah yes, that will be the reason as my OP9 does not use the stock launcher.

Doesn't work for me either. Seems not a lot of devices support this.
I suspect it doesn't work on all Xiaomi devices (big surprise), but it does work on several other devices I have.
