USB device id magic text

I'm not sure how to use this new feature.

What I would like to do is find the usb device id when a usb drive is connected.

Is this possible?

Writing the usb device id magic text into a variable after connecting a usb drive, initially writes a 4 digit number, but subsequent running of this action replaces the content with {usb_device_id}

So I think I'm probably using the magic text incorrectly.

I'm stumped how to use it with the usb connect trigger, if that's how it is supposed to be used.

I have tried connecting different usb drives and the 4 digit number (happens to be 3002) is the same.
So the 4 digit number isn't part of a usb device id.

I haven't experienced with it yet but I will today to see how it works.
If you have the same problem as me (which is having the USB connection go the wrong way for example if you connect 2 phones) then you can try switching the USB configuration.

I don't have a problem with the connected usb drive.
I use X-plore file manager and this provides full read and write access to the usb drive. Interestingly it shows the usb drive manufacturer and device id!

I guess there is a bug.
Please report the bug using the report bug button in the troubleshooting section of the app. Make sure to include MacroDroid's result and X-plore file manager's result.

Bug report submitted
I don't think the bug report was successfully submitted. See attached screenshot for the error.
I've never had this before....is this a 36 beta bug?

Would mean no internet connection. I submitted a bug in this version without any problems.

It doesn't match anything in termux-usb, what is the correct answer?
How to display device id in X-plore file manager?
