Once you've configured your trigger you should add this from your home screen. It differs from launcher to launcher but generally you should be able to long press empty space to configure your home screen.
If you can't add the trigger make sure there isn't already a widget button trigger in your macro.

I uninstalled MD, maybe I messed up a bit when I tried to run 2 different MD versions (one "official" and one within the Samsung secured folder). Now it works as intended.
